Kim Ristolainen is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Economics at University of Turku. His research interests are broadly in financial economics, machine learning and natural language processing with a particular focus on news, beliefs and financial stability. He has previously worked as an Yrjö Jahnsson Fellow in the Department of Economics at MIT and as a project researcher at the Bank of Finland’s Monetary Policy and Research Department. His work has been published in the Scandinavian Journal of Economics and the Journal of Financial Stability.
