Yang Jiao is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Singapore Management University. Before joining Singapore Management University, he worked at Fudan University and the International Monetary Fund. He also interned at the Asian Development Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Professor Jiao's research interests include international finance/macro and trade. His research has been published in the Review of Economics and Statistics and awarded the 2022 Pu Shan Award for Excellent Papers on International Economics, and the 2023 Masahiko Aoki Best Paper Nomination Award. Professor Jiao received his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in 2018, M.A. in finance, and B.S. in math and physics from Tsinghua University in 2012 and 2010, respectively. During 2018-2019, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College.
