Some of these are analytical publications for a specialist audience, while others are aimed at a wider readership.

Forecast for the Finnish economy

We publish a broad and detailed forecast prepared by our experts on the development of the Finnish economy in June and December. In the interim forecasts published in the spring and autumn, the outlook for economic growth, employment and inflation is updated.

Financial stability assessment

In our extensive Financial stability assessment, which is published once a year, we analyze the weaknesses of the financial system as well as threats that, if realized, could undermine the stability of the system. In addition, the macroprudential report is published twice a year.

Monetary policy review

In the monetary policy review, we look at the recent development of the euro area economy, the price stability and the analysis behind monetary policy decisions.

Blog posts and articles

Blog posts and articles intended for a wide audience on the outlook of the Finnish and international economy, payments, monetary policy and financial market stability are published on our Bank of Finland Bulletin website.

Research publications

The Bank of Finland's key research areas are, on one hand, the interaction between and stability of the macro economy and the financial markets. The Bank of Finland aims to have the results of research activities published in international peer-reviewed journals.

BoF Economics Review

BoF Economics Review includes analytical studies on monetary policy, financial markets and macroeconomic developments. Articles are published in Finnish, Swedish and English. Readers benefit from previous knowledge of the topic.
