Fraudulent emails are currently circulating in the name of the Bank of Finland and members of the Bank’s staff, requesting the recipient to answer questions relating to strong identification in exchange for a code calculator. Recipients are requested to confirm the order of the code calculator by clicking the link in the message.
The Bank of Finland does not provide identification equipment or ask for this kind of information. Furthermore, the Bank of Finland never sends emails asking a person to submit online banking codes or passwords.
