The Bank of Finland and the European Investment Bank are hosting the conference: ‘Investment in times of uncertainty and unknowns'

The conference will focus on Investment needs and climate in Finland. It assesses the extent to which firms are addressing the need to make their businesses more green and digital, against the backdrop of pandemic recovery programmes and unprecedented recent shocks. The conference brings together a group of economists, policymakers, as well as representatives from financial institutions and the business community.

After the opening remarks by the Bank of Finland’s member of the board Tuomas Välimäki and European Investment Bank Vice President Thomas Östros, the results of the EIB Investment survey for Finland will be presented, followed by a presentation of Professor Otto Toivanen (Aalto University). The conference will host also a high level panel, focusing on investment dynamics and investment gaps in Finland.
