Petteri Vuolasto

Mr. Petteri Vuolasto, MSc. (Eng), is Head of ICT and Information Management. ICT and Information Management is responsible for the provision of IT services and tools, as well as document and library services, to the Bank of Finland and the FIN-FSA. The department maintains the data and systems architecture and fosters efficient and effective use of information assets. The department develops operation-enhancing digital solutions in cooperation with the departments and governs information management, information security and IT project management practices.

Petteri Vuolasto’s previous post at the Bank was Head of the Information Technology unit, since 2009. He has also served as Head of the IT Production division and has held a number of expert positions, for example in the fields of data communication and security. Prior to joining the Bank of Finland in 1991, Mr. Vuolasto was an IT expert at the STS Bank. Mr. Vuolasto is a member of the ESCB’s Information Technology Committee.
