International links are a key part of our everyday work

International cooperation is an important and ever more significant part of the Bank of Finland’s activities.

The most important element of international cooperation at the Bank of Finland is its participation in the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and the Eurosystem. One in four of the Bank’s staff is a member of a Eurosystem committee or working group that convenes on a regular basis, and this cooperation is reflected in almost all of the Bank’s tasks.

My work affects matters of significance in society and helps build international relations, and it's also an area that the public have confidence in.

International cooperation provides opportunities for staff secondments to the European Central Bank or other national central banks. Eurosystem internal training is also a prominent form of international cooperation. In addition, we maintain close contacts with our Nordic and Baltic colleagues.
