Spend the summer with us
Employing young people is important to us, which is why we offer summer jobs to dozens of students every year. The annual application period for summer jobs is in January.
We offer interesting summer jobs doing work of significance to society in such fields as monetary policy, research, financial markets, statistics, banking and cash supply. Summer jobs are also often available in IT, communications and security, for example.
In spring 2024, the Bank ranked eighth in a survey of business students conducted by Universum Communications regarding the most attractive employers, and we were the most attractive public-sector employer.
In a survey of summer trainees in 2022, the Bank received an overall job rating of 3.9 (on a scale of 1 to 4). The summer trainees were particularly satisfied with the challenging and responsible tasks they were given and with the working atmosphere.
We have a very positive team spirit in our office, and also I feel I can turn to any colleague for advice. Our line manager can really be relied on, and I feel like they would provide help or support in any matter.
Summer trainees at the Bank of Finland and the Financial Supervisory Authority appreciate the team spirit, which they also maintain by organising joint activities outside work. They can also get to know and network with colleagues working in other departments, both at work and during their leisure time.
