International cooperation is an important and ever more significant part of the Bank of Finland’s activities.

The job of your life

Nearly 370 experts in their specialist fields have chosen the Bank of Finland as their employer. Roughly a further 240 experts are employed by the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), which operates in connection with the Bank of Finland. Although the FIN-FSA takes its decisions independently, its employees are in a public-service employment relationship with the Bank of Finland. The main offices of the Bank of Finland and the FIN-FSA are located in Helsinki city centre. Maintenance of the cash supply, one of the Bank’s official tasks, is handled in Vantaa.

My work affects matters of significance in society and helps build international relations, and it's also an area that the public have confidence in.

International cooperation is an important and ever more significant part of the Bank of Finland’s activities. The most important element of international cooperation at the Bank of Finland is its participation in the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and the Eurosystem.

The Bank of Finland is known for its extensive community of economists. Our economists work in areas such as research, financial market stability, statistics and market operations. In addition to economist positions, we have many other positions available, e.g. in legal affairs, IT, communications, security, risk management, audit, human resources, international cooperation and language translation.

The Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) mainly employs financial market supervisors in banking, capital markets and insurance supervision. The FIN-FSA also has some positions in administration. communications and IT.
